Look up! Look around! The Upper Sacramento River dances through a steep, lush canyon with cascading side streams and majestic views of Castle Crags and Mt Shasta. If you’re interested, we’ll even teach you about our magnificent watershed, flora, fauna, history and the geological forces forging the area. Imagine that! Expert guides who can row and teach!

You’ll start your whitewater rafting adventure with a majestic view of Mt. Shasta.

After a short warm-up, we’re off to the races with exciting whitewater and lots of rapids with names like White Horse, Little Freight Train and Eye of the Needle.

The Upper Sacramento is a fine training run for the more demanding Cal Salmon or Upper Klamath Rivers. But don’t be fooled. The Upper Sacramento is no playpen! You’ll want to return again and again to experience the changes as spring flows rearrange the stream bed and offer new rafting surprises.
